About the game
Hide and Seek Online is a third-person 3D hide and seek game set inside buildings after the lights go out. A neon-lit office, a night warehouse packed with racking, a silent school and a shuttered shopping mall are rebuilt every match, full of rooms, doors, desks, shelves, boxes and closets you can climb into. Every round opens with a 20-second hiding phase: the seeker's eyes are closed and they cannot move. Hiders slip into a closet, crouch behind tall shelves to stay out of sight or run from room to room. Then the 90-second seek begins and the seeker tags hiders simply by touching them. A tagged player is not knocked out but becomes the seeker's helper, and you hunt the rest together. Prop hunt rounds change everything: hiders can turn into a nearby box, potted plant, barrel, chair or mannequin and blend into the room. As a prop you are slow and moving gives you away, while the seeker's scan ability shakes suspicious props and occupied closets within range. Hiders score for every second they survive and seekers score for fast tags. After four rounds the match ends with a ranking, and the seeker role rotates every round. In solo play you face bots in matches of six to eight players. Bots pick believable hiding spots and run when they are spotted; seeker bots patrol, check closets and give chase. Reach the podium and the next level starts on its own: the map grows, more players join and the bots get smarter. In online mode you can invite a friend with a room code or invite link, or get matched with a random opponent from anywhere; the two of you play on the same map at the same time while bots fill the remaining spots. There is no chat, only quick reaction icons. Free to play in your browser with no download or sign-up.
How to play
- Press Play: play solo against bots, create a room for a friend or find a world opponent.
- As a hider you have 20 seconds to slip into a closet, get behind tall furniture or, in prop hunt rounds, turn into a nearby object.
- As the seeker tag hiders by touching them; walking up to a closet opens it, and scanning exposes nearby disguises.
- If you are spotted, sprint away; you slow down when your stamina bar runs out.
- After four rounds, finishing at the goal rank takes you to the next level: a bigger map with more and smarter bots.
Controls
Keyboard and mouse: walk with W A S D, sprint with Shift, look with the mouse (click the screen to lock the pointer, Esc releases it), turn the camera with ← →, E or Space enters or leaves a closet, takes a disguise or scans as the seeker, Q scans, P pauses. Touch: walk with the virtual stick on the left half of the screen and drag on the right half to turn the camera; hold RUN to sprint, and the action button at the bottom right becomes HIDE, DISGUISE, EXIT or SCAN depending on the situation.

Can I play hide and seek online with a friend?
Yes. Press Play, choose Play with a friend → Create room and send the 5-letter code or invite link; your friend joins from their own device with Join with code. You can also be matched with a random player using Find a world opponent. You and the bots play the match together.
What is a prop hunt round?
In rounds 2 and 4 of every match, hiders can turn into a nearby object such as a box, plant, barrel, chair or mannequin. You move slowly as a prop, and the seeker can scan to expose suspicious props nearby.
Is the game over when I get tagged?
No. A tagged player becomes the seeker's helper and keeps hunting the remaining hiders, scoring points for every tag. In solo mode, if you miss the goal rank you can optionally watch an ad to replay the same level and keep your score.
