2 player games are made for playing with or against a friend. On Zipi you can do that two ways: side by side on one phone, tablet or keyboard, or online from different devices. Everything opens in your browser with no download or sign-up.
Games you can play online
Tic Tac Toe, Four in a Row and Backgammon have an online mode. Play with a friend creates a five-letter room code and invite link, so your friend can join your room from their own phone or even another city. Choose Find a world opponent and you are paired at random with someone who wants to play the same game right now. The turn is shown with your opponent's nickname, each move has a time limit, and a rematch starts when both players want one. There is no chat, only preset reactions.
- Tic Tac Toe: a best-of-5 series on a neon tactical board; first to three wins.
- Four in a Row: drop heavy metal discs into a steel grid and line up four across, down or diagonally in a best-of-3 series.
- Backgammon: roll, hit, bear off and score gammons with real rules. Online matches go to 3 points.
Games for sitting side by side
- Lava & Ice Duo: a 12-level co-op game. Guide lava-walking Ember and water-walking Frost to their doors together; a level only ends when both stand in their doorways.
- Table Tennis: a fast paddle duel where the first to 7 points wins. The left player uses W/S and the right player the arrow keys; on a tablet each player uses their own half of the screen.
You can play solo too
With nobody around, play the computer in Tic Tac Toe, Four in a Row, Backgammon and Table Tennis; Hard-level opponents calculate their moves. In Lava & Ice Duo, press Tab to switch between the two heroes.
Tips
- In Four in a Row, controlling the middle column opens the most winning lines.
- In Backgammon, try not to leave single checkers exposed.
- In Lava & Ice Duo, talk through the plan before you move.
