About the game

King is one of Turkey's best-loved card games, played everywhere from tea houses to family tables, and here you can play it free in your browser with no download or sign-up. Four players use a 52-card deck, everyone gets 13 cards and play goes counter-clockwise. A full game lasts 20 deals: in each deal the player whose turn it is looks at their hand, chooses the contract and leads the first card. Every player picks 3 penalty games and 2 trump games in total, and each penalty game can be played at most twice at the table. The penalty games are No Tricks (-50 per trick), No Hearts (-30 per heart), No Kings and Jacks (-60 each), No Queens (-100 each), Rıfkı (the king of hearts, -320) and Last Two (-180 for each of the last two tricks). In trump games the chooser names the trump suit and every trick you win is worth +50. You must follow suit; if you cannot, you must trump in a trump game and discard a penalty card in a penalty game. The built-in King score sheet shows every deal, who chose it, the points, the running totals and every player's remaining picks, and in a full game all the points add up to zero. In the career you face three bots: finish a game on top to level up and the bots get sharper, counting cards, ducking in penalty games, drawing trumps and choosing contracts that suit their hand. Short on time? Quick King plays 8 deals. At the online table you can invite friends with a room code or get matched with players from around the world, and bots fill any empty seat. Playable cards glow and the full rules are one tap away under the question mark. There is no betting, money or gambling.
