About the game

Backgammon is a classic strategy game played on a wooden board, and one of the most loved games in Turkey, where it is called tavla. This version follows the standard rules completely: each player has 15 checkers, you roll two dice and move your checkers by the numbers shown. Roll doubles and you play that number four times. Land on a lone blot and you hit it, sending your opponent's checker to the bar, where it must re-enter before any other move. You must use both dice whenever possible, and if only one can be played, the larger one must be used. Once all your checkers are in your home board you start bearing off. Against the computer, Easy is relaxed for learning, while Hard weighs pip count, exposed blots, made points, primes and hitting chances to find the best move on every roll. In two-player mode you take turns with a friend on the same phone or computer. Matches go to 3 or 5 points; finish before your opponent bears off a single checker and you score a gammon worth 2 points. Grow your win streak to unlock Ice Blue, Emerald, Gold and Neon Purple checkers. Tap a checker and its legal targets light up green, and you can undo a move until you confirm the turn. No sign-up, no download.
